Events and Programs

Medi-clinic always remain in the focus of our activities which goes on throughout the year and almost every day. Patients from Nischinda and adjacent areas visit our Clinic most of the days to get reliefof their ailment and sufferings from various diseases and disorders. Other than this we also celebrate important days and organize various program full with social causes.

Celebration of National Youth Day (Vivekananda’s birthday)

On 12th January, we celebrate the Birthday of Vivekananda in a befitting manner. A no. of activities have been undertaken towards the welfare of the poor and downtrodden section of the locality which included distribution of blankets amongst the needy people.

Republic day and Independence day celebration

One of the major areas of our activity aims at looking after the senior citizens of our locality. We organize regular health check up for the elderly persons particularly on the areas where they are prone to be exposed such as Heart dieseases, Diabetic problems, Problems of vision etc. Beside this, to promote encouragements and wellness among them,  programs such as organizing reception on auspisous days such as Independence day, Republic day etc. are organized as happened this year also.

Also Integrated Child development activity constitutes one of the core area of our activities. Various programs are undertaken from time to time, especially on the auspicious days like 15th August, 26th January for the development of Children and teen agers of our society.

Observing the ‘ANTARJATIK MATRIBHASA DIBAS’ and ‘SILCHAR BHASA SAHID DIBAS’ 

21st February was duly observed as the international language day as it has been declared by the United nations to commemorate the great movement on Bengali language in the then East Pakistan which eventually created the free Bangladesh.

We Also observed 19th May, 2019 to commemorate the heinous attack on the organizers of movement for the recognition of Bengali language as the official language in the Baraak Valley of Assam in our country in 1961 when 11 persons were brutally killed by the Police and Para-military force of the administration which included the youngest lady martyr Kamala Bhattacharya who was only 17 years old then.

Celebration of Birth Centeneary of Jyotirindra Nath Sarkar, the great educationist

31st December, 2018 was the birth centenary of the great eduacationist of the locality whose contribution was not only  instrumental in establishing about half a dozen Schools in the locality of Nischinda which included 3 Nos. of full fledged Higher Secondary schools, Junior school and a no. of Primary schools during those extremely difficult days of partition when thousands and thousands of people uprooted from the then East Bengal in a wretched and unimaginable condition of distress had to come here when leave aside education, they couldn’t even think of their day-to-day livelyhood only. In a word he is the basic architect of the whole Education system in the entire area which he built from a condition where people were completely immersed into a sudden situation of despair and darkness all around. Today’s generation can’t even imagine of the condition prevailed during that period compared to the current scenario when the families living in the entire area is being benefited and will be benefited in the future due to the pioneering work of this great man on education who himself was a refugee in that time. His contribution has got immense impact of the allround prosperity of the area.

23rd December was also his death anniversary. We organized various programs covering health, education, envirionment etc. during the whole period of 23rd to 31st December, 2018 to pay our homage to this great hero who fought the battle of removing the darkness of remaining uneducated from the society almost singlehandedly.

Special emphasize are given on this area and multifarious programs were undertaken covering ‘Baby Health contest’, ‘Sit & draw’ competition, Essay competition on subjects of  various social aspects like Evils of superstition, Environment, Pollution etc., Quiz on worldwide development on Science and technology, health consciousness etc.

Also in the memory of the great educationist, our literary wing PARANI also observed the 27th December, 2018 as the day for Festival of POEMS at the auditorium of Nischinda Deshabandhu Tarun Sangha.

Eye Screening camp for detecting patients with Cataract and organizing Operation

On 3rd March, 2019 we organized an Eye Screening camp in association with SUSRUT  EYE FOUNDATION &  RESEARCH  CENTRE at Medi-clinic when 130 Patients were examined and 23 Nos . of patients were found requiring various forms of Cataract Surgery who were ultimately operated and cured at the   SUSRUT  EYE FOUNDATION &  RESEARCH  CENTRE, Kolkata.

Reception of extra ordinary performers of the last Madhyamik, Uchha Madhyamik, CBSE and ICSE exams

As we do every year, this year also we have organized a Reception Ceremony for the students who have performed extraordinarily during the last Madhyamik, Uchha Madhyamik, CBSE and ICSE Examination on 12th July, 2018 where 70 Nos of students were felicitated for their good performance.

Distribution of Educational implements amongst the needy Students

As we do every Year, this year also we have distributed educational implements to the needy students from the locality on 13th January  in the memory of our beloved Dr. Nirmal  Kumar Dutta, an well wisher all along  who was associated with us since the inception of our organization. Though he is no more with us, during this function we can feel his presence as he was the initiator and main sponsor for this program from the very beginning.  

Campaigning for Eye Donation in Association with APEX CLUB, Bally

We organize campaigning program for awareness on posthumous Eye donation in association with Apex Club of Bally from time to time. One such program was undertaken in the month of January 2019. Forms for the donation of Eye are also now available in Medi-clinic.
